I have BT keyboard and mouse with my iMac and I love the tidyness of it. One cable that�s all. I have tried the MM in the shop and I thought it was nice to use, but from what I�ve read here it seems to be problems with the scroll ball. Guess my old mouse will do for now

Apple is testing the market further if white is a hit. Then they will release the iPhone 5 in blank and white at the same time in late fall!

To be honest Steve seems to say that every year, the problem is after he says it the first year if he doesn't say it about the next year shareholders will be more worried about their investment so it becomes a repetition.
I'm thinking the same thing. Can anyone find the appropriate quote from, say, last year's MWSF? I know i've been waiting since then for the exciting new products he promised: intel conversions don't count, nor do new casings and better batteries for iPods. The MacBook counts as a new product and the sales achieved by it could put it into the exciting category. iTV may fit but it's not coming out til next year. So what did Steve promise for 06? And what fits that bill?

Can I start a post thats about how Im anxiously awaiting the END of all these "when is the new iMac coming out" threads?
I really really want to get onto the next set of never ending threads that will go something like this:
"should I get the 21" X.XX Ghz i5 or the 27" X.XX Ghz i3?"
And then everyone will get to ask "what are you going to do with it?"
and then all of the "I love the large 27" screen" and of course "I had to return the 27" screen it was too big!" And the "more cores is better" or the silly goofball with the "I think a larger Ghz number means its faster".
and then we can move on to all of the "Is 4 gigs of ram enough or should I get more?" threads
Oh, and lets not forget all of the "I wish it had a larger drive/better video/more SSD options/matte screen/full sized bluetooth keyboard/USB 3/eSATA/24" option!!" posts. Those are my favorite. Wishing, LOL. You get what you get and you dont throw a fit?

I know you love your iPod and all (I am very fond of mine myself), but over the last few years Apple has been focusing a dispropotional amount of energy into their cute little gadget which has massively boosted their profits. For those of us that don't salivate over all things iPod, I think this is too bad.

Technical issues aside - odds are that Apple would rather sell you a new Mac Pro with Thunderbolt onboard.
That would mean video onboard too. Which would not be completly dumb since the MP also plays the role of the Xserve now, and that some usages don't need a powerful gpu. For those usages that need one (or two), the PCIe slots are there, and the onboard Thunderbolt port(s) could be used as data port(s) only.
The other way, is to release graphics cards including Thunderbolt port(s), and since Apple offers only a couple of them for the MP, it shouldn't be that complicated, especially when future Xeon SB cpus will offer 24/40 PCIe 3.0 lanes per cpu. A 16x PCIe 3.0 slot could accomodate 16x 2.0 lanes for the gpu itself and up to 16x 2.0 lanes for Thunderbolt controllers...
I think that Intel wants Thunderbolt to carry video no matter what, that's, I believe, the reason why they said "no PCIe upgrade card" for existing computers. Someone can probably make a 16x PCIe 2.0 combo card with gpu + Thunderbolt, but the gpu would have to be connected thru only 8x lanes with 4x/8x lanes for the Thunderbolt port(s). Maybe it's a good idea, maybe it's not... Technically, there's no reason why it can't be done.
In any case, Intel will release Thunderbolt's Developer Kits this quarter, so more technical info will be available, and some questions may be answered.
