Well, I'll hop on the bandwagon. My measly old MBP should be able to cope with it. I'll get my PS3 onto the game as well, just to see how much I can get out of it.

cloud based this and cloud based that, what about the traffic that comes with that? , i pay a lot for mobile internet and i`m not willing to pay a **** load more just so i can use my ipod, why wold i pay my cell phone network every time i want to listen to a song i already pay`d for.
As far as i`m concern cloud based stuff shod be introduced when cell phone network providers are willing to give unlimited traffic plans at a decent cost, until that time it`s pure nonsense.

In Vancouver (and my group of friends and co-workers) I see at least 5x the amount of iPhones then Android devices. In fact, in my and my girlfriends family alone there are 8 iPhones among 11 people (one of those without an iPhone being my dad who refuses a smartphone at all). However, it's hard to draw any real conclusions up here without any data.
I tend to ignore my family/co-workers when I talk about this stuff. The Apple bias there is quite evident and I don't expect anything other than Apple stuff there. I wouldn't draw conclusions on Mac market share from them either as it would put the Mac on top of Windows by a huge margin. ;)
I try to be honest with myself because if I looked at them, I would draw the same conclusions you and many others are here and just say Apple is leading by a huge margin, which just isn't the case. I don't have enough attachement to Apple as a vendor to go around cheerleading for them.

I've been an AAPL shareholder on and off since 1982. The company has NEVER been healthier or hotter than it is now. We all know about the record sales of Macs, iPods, iPhones, etc. I was at a major shopping center on weekday afternoon a few days ago, and the Apple Store was literally the only store in the mall that could have been classified as "busy" (and not just with lookers but with buyers).
But you have to distinguish AAPL the stock from Apple the company. In the long term, the two are essentially the same thing, but in the short term the two are merely related. The short-term performance of AAPL the stock is affected by turmoil in the stock market, as well as by speculators hoping to make fast money by buying or selling AAPL for near-term gains. These factors can temporarily drive the stock down (or up) for reasons that have little to do with the company's actual performance.
In the long term, though, if Apple the company does well, AAPL the stock will do well, too.
So, where is AAPL going from here? Hard to say... I'm currently "long" on AAPL, so obviously I'd like to see it go up. However, it's quite possible that it could go lower from here -- perhaps much lower (below $100 even). One of the most common valuation statistic for stocks is the price/earnings (P/E) ratio. Right now, AAPL's P/E is around 30. Compared to competitors like Hewlett-Packard (HPQ; p/e: 16) and Microsoft (MSFT; p/e: 21), AAPL's multiple is high. Yeah, it's totally dumb to think that a well-versed tech editor trying to launch a new company would know that the quickest way to get some eyeballs on pages is to spend hours making a pretty (controversial) iphone mockup and attaching it to an Apple rumor.

BS and unacceptable. That being said, I'm doing fine in the metro-west area of Boston/Worcester. Very rare to have a dropped call. I think this is just a case of a single carrier being unable to handle the volume of iPhone users. It's time to open it up to multiple carriers to spread the love and the cell tower load.

I've read the post over again and if that was sarcasm, he's bad at it and should stop. Sarcasm on forums is bad form to begin with, the medium does not convey the emphasis appropriately.
Regardless, there are people that believe EXACTLY what he was extolling and they're sadly the sheep that marketting of the Android manufacturers have captured.

Agreed, why would you put a case around an iPhone 4 - you trying to make it UGLY, most cases just scratch the back of th ephone anyway as dust/dirt gets in there and just rubs between the case and the phone.

Well, I guess these kinds of things are preferential. Perhaps I'm more used to Micro$oft Office toolbars.
Anyhow, I find myself using Pages more often. I'll just tell my boss to buy a Mac Mini if he wants to read my documents. :D
If Apple does come out with a spreadsheet, it better be more usable than what one can get currently on Pages. One major omission is that one cannot create a graph directly from a table (you have to 'cut and paste').
I'm with KookAid, I find that the Inspector is far more time consuming than a well laid out Icon Bar with drop boxes. Maybe it's because I've been using Microsoft Office forever. But I have given Pages a serious try and I find that I really like it, except for it's lacking AutoCorrection and Inspector.

There is a safe way to run Flash apps on iOS: package the Flash as an iOS app. If there are actually Flash apps that users can't live without, this is the safe way to provide those Flash apps on iOS machines. Apple will distribute those apps with a 70/30 split of the sale price to the developer. If the developer wants to make the software free, Apple will freely distribute the software to anyone who wants it.
I'll say this one last time. Flash is not an app! It's a method of delivering content on a web site. You cannot make iOS "apps" to replace a web page dude. As long as there are Flash only web sites, there will be a demand for Flash plugins. This Skyfire app is proof of that. I won't bother arguing anymore about the other things as it's a complete waste of my time.

Dropped calls is a feature of the iphone... enjoy ;)
I live in toronto, canada, and here the service is great. We've had MMS since day 1 as well as tethering. Its all lightning fast. Basically no dropped calls and issues like that, but we do pay a small premium.

I have a MX-1000, but I'm thinking of buying this BT Mighty Mouse. I agree that MX-1000 is a pretty good mouse, and I don't have much complaint in terms of its functionalities. However, unlike others here, I hate that cradle. I bought a wireless mouse because I didn't like clutters. But this thing has TWO cords dangling on the back, and it takes up valuable desktop space. I find this actually bothers me more than the wire of a wired mouse sometimes.
I know for others those two more wires on the back and small desktop space might be nothing to complain about. But, to me, it's really annoying. And with my new MBP, it's simply not an option to carry that cardle around. Right now I use an RF receiver from another Logitech mouse I have, and use the cradle only for recharge. But even that small receiver is annoying when you have to move around, since my MBP won't fit into sleeve with that thing attached.
So, a BT mouse with standard battery is a perfect fit to me. I don't mind lifting index finger for right click much, since I'm already doing that most of the time any way, although I wish the mouse surface were pressure sensitive rather than simply touch sensitive.
