So after playing with my brand new iPad I noticed something weird. Other than the crazy backlight problems that we have all been having, my iPad also shows weird lines when you sleep and wake the screen fast. I have tried to replicate this on my iphone 4 and ipod touch but I don't see anything on those devices. I also never noticed anything like this on my iPad 1. The iPad's at the apple store don't seem to do this but other non-apple-store ipads do. I am assuming it has something to do with the firmware. I have yet to upgrade to the newest firmware so that might have fixed this issue. Do any of your ipad's do this? Here is a link to a video I made so you can better understand me.

You need to set up your Express to join the network created by your Time Capsule. Then you'll be able to stream to it while connected to the Internet. As it is now, you're creating two entirely separate networks.

It's great on pc personally Its better than Xbox but unless you got a dedicated card I dont think this will run well.

I may be asking in the wrong place, and if I am, I apologize...
I have a black macbook that I want to put on ebay, but there is a very small "blemish" on the screen that I would like to take pictures of for the auction - I am assuming it is a dead pixel...
The only camera I have is a finepix s1000fd - not exactly a high end DSLR, and I don't have any special lenses or filters. Is there a way to get a good photo of that spot without the image coming off so distorted?
I thought perhaps setting it to a solid color screen would help, but I still end up with just the "rainbow effect" that usually shows up when you try to photograph a screen...
Any help would be very appreciated. Google keeps trying to tell me how to take a screen grab, and not an actual photo...

I am in line now, I don't know how many people are in front of me. It's back past Sharper Image now. The doors just opened so we're slowly creeping forward. Maybe there will still be t-shirts left by the time I get up there!

I'm from Germany and before I came to the US to study, I sold my beloved tangerine iMac DV 'cause I wanted buy a PB over here in the States (about 1/3 cheaper than in Germany...).
O.K., I have the money and I'm willing to spend it on the lower model, but only on an updated version. The current one is IMHO definetly not worth the pricetag (even compared to home...).
Most of the people in this Forum want a Superdrive and/or ddr, but I disagree. Just put in the new radeon and better cooling, maybe bluetooth and that's it for NOW. I would buy it the minute it came out.
I wouldn't mind a small speedbump, but didn't matter to me. Bring a major update in January (redesign, faster processor, fake-ddr, Superdrive, whatever...) and everybody would be happy.
I'm afraid there won't be any update till January and even then just speedbump, Radeon and Superdrive (at increased price, of course... :()
All rumors are useless, because noone seems to know something substantial. I definetly won't buy something now and sell it when the updated PB comes out (it's a question of money for me), so I think I have to use the college lab until then what is annoying, because they moved the cubes they had and replaced them with PCs. The only macs left are some b&w G3s in a poor condition (crashed my Firewire harddisk twice :eek: ).
Sorry for another PB post, but I'm just frustrated...

Hey all. I can't believe what just happened over my Thanksgiving break! My employer offered me an upper level marketing position for the marketing company I worked for as an intern for years. :) What does this have to do with a feeler thread you ask haha. Plain and simple, the company is giving me a nice Dell Latitude loaded with Adobe Creative Suite CS2 and QuarkXPress 6.1! Yeah, its windows I know, but its worth it for a free computer with all that software. I really should sell my PowerMac that I just got not more than a few weeks ago (used) since it really won't be used much at this point. I was thinking it would be worth somewhere in the $1,600 range plus shipping (with the upgraded graphics and remaining Applecare). I was wondering about viewing angles, because at night I sometimes flip the screen around to face the bed, and watch a movie. Because the desk is about a foot higher than the bed, and it doesnt tilt down much, the colours look a bit 'off'.
And when it gets to a dark scene, I really notice the backlight.
the LEDs used most often are white ones. nice, provide brighter pics. but a really good combo is ips and rgb LED. i don't think something like that exists. and any ips screen will do for what you are looking for. doesn't have to be apple. dells are good. i believe asus has put out a 500 led IPS if LED is a completely necessity for you.

Chimpy, if he had to go and relabel the package, then the tracking no. he supplied you wouldnt have been registered, so he didnt send you a bogus number, just one that UPS cocked up on.
