I'm at a loss trying to figure out how this thread got a bit crazy...
The actual program used in Snowy's case matters little in getting it ready for the printer. You give the printer the file to print, and he/she will print it for you. Doesn't matter if it's a pdf from Word, a pdf from Pages, a doc from Word, an Indesign file, or a Quark Express file. If they can open the file, they can print it.
Again, most copy shops have elaborate folding, binding, stapling, and saddle stitching services that don't require the customer to figure out how to non-sequentually order pages. A skilled copy machine operator should be able to set up the job in less than 10 minutes.

its a calendar, it looks like what it does, with MobileMe its the exact same calendar as the one on my iPhone and iPad, now it looks the same

What will Apple offer that other manufactures can't?

I would go so far as to suggest the reason we don't have an App Store on the current Apple TV is because Apple is saving it as the compelling reason to buy an entire TV set.

Pretty soon you won't be switching channels. You'll be switching apps.

So many Mac users are completely ignorant and oblivious to the fact that their Mac is, contrary to popular belief, not that secure in some respects. Many Mac zealots and apologists will tout how bullet-proof OS X is, how it's nothing like Windows, how it's amazingly secure - well, it isn't in some cases.
Sure, it's still better in many respects than Windows, but Mac users should not be lured into a false sense of security over these matters. They need to be smart with their systems and not take anything for granted. Hopefully reports like this will assist those people in seeing the light. As Mac marketshare increases and more of a spotlight is put on OS X, it will attract more people who will try and exploit security vulnerabilities and so forth, so now more than ever this type of information needs to be made known. And more importantly, Apple needs to agressively address such matters timely and effectively.

Thunderbolt is absolutely amazing and I think most people here aren't looking far enough ahead. A single connection that can handle massive bandwidth, is scalable in the future, can handle display as well as just data throughput, and can do this over long distances is good for more than just hard drives. Imagine a wall of displays with one cable. Imagine a stack of external processors. Imagine owning your own private data center!
Thunderbolt is faster than the hard drive today, but when one component gets faster it lets the others get faster too. Without a data bottleneck in the cable, there is now an incentive for drive makers to develop faster storage. If you can move this kind of data around, why not build cheap little add on processors? You could buy a laptop and then buy a couple external processors that would bump you up to 12 core tower speed while remaining cheap and portable.
Who cares if you have a bunch of USB stuff today. Think forward!

Yes it costs a fortune to shoot and my wrist can only handle about 6 rounds and I am done for the day. However it only takes 1 from this thing to stop anything shy of a pissed off bull elephant:D
I'm jealous. Makes my Browning Hi-Power look like a pee-shooter lol. That must be an exhilarating gun to fire.
Where do you live? I always thought it was illegal to own a small firearm like that I know that's what I've been told anyway. Unless you absolutely were require to have one, like a cop/fbi.
Now I don't care, just curious how so many people on this board own guns like this and automatic weapons.
As far as I know you can own a hand-gun or semi-auto firearm in any state. For a fully automatic gun you have to have a special tag/license or pay some sort of tax.
If more citizens owned guns, America would be a much safer place.

Toolbars and drop down menus are the things Microsoft have DROPPED from Office 2007.
The pictures I've seen of Windows Office 2007 most certainly still has icon bars, it's just redesigned to be grouped more than a scatter approach.
And just because MSFT is changing it, doesn't mean that it will be more efficient. (It may be, but I haven't tried it yet.) I have heard a few pundits harp on the new setup saying in efforts to make things more simple they dumbed it down too much for a power user.

Several reasons. It's very fast - Mannheim is about a year, and Dusseldorf about two. You can't raise invalidity of the patent as a defense. You have to very early in the case explain your theory of non-infringement, etc. The system works very differently than the U.S.
Apple is glad it's fast! They are glad the system works very differently.

I don't buy from either of these any more after being introduced to Gomusicnow.com (or any of the other 25 similar sites). 9 cents per song, or ~$.80-$1.5 per ALBUM. Quality 320 for most newer albums and 220-300 for older. Can't beat it.

This is great but I do have a question..
Since it's bluetooth and Apple says it works within 30 ft.What happens if you're in a starbucks and other people have bluetooth turned on ?
