I don't quite understand this... as people use their iPhones on T-Mobile jailbroken all the time. How could AT&T iPhones work on T-Mobile now if they need different hardware???
I guess the basic frequency is the same for EDGE and calls and what not. However, T-Mobile's 3G won't work with current iPhone's, so I guess this hardware update would change that.

I think getting a white backplate and keeping the black front is the best of both worlds. That white front looks ugly and disoriented with an obvious front cam and that black PS (looks like sharpie has been applied to the mesh grill original design), and when the screens off, looks even worse.
I'll stick with mine :)
I think just the opposite is better. I like the white front but I think the white back is hideous.

I love this image, it is sooooo over the top for one mouse. If it was even a mac mini it would look more appropriate, but a mouse on a table with white paneling on all sides is in my opinion really idiotic.

I used to think that too and I was completely wrong. I used 'being busy with work' as a poor excuse. I absolutely regret it.
He's right - it's a simple formula and one that really takes some discipline...that's all. Just a touch of strength.
I'll also add, some knowledge too. Talking to a trainer with a nutritionist background was critical to my success. Understanding what the body needs based on your activity level, rather than what your MIND believes your body wants, is a small, but massively important factor.
ie. on days I work out, I'll have my protein drink and a massive bowl of oatmeal - topped with a scoop of jam and/or peanut butter and some brown sugar. 1. it's got all the glucose I need after working out and 2. it satiates me until mid-afternoon and then I have a normal lunch. I could go on, but I don't want to drag it.
My point is this: I hear you, I was you, but it's wrong. plain and simple. I normally don't tell people they're wrong so pls don't take offense :)
i'm in my late 30s, 2 kids, the stay at home Dad running his own business and I'm in the best shape of my life. My wife is a financial planner running her own brokerage and she's in fantastic shape. If anything, being in better shape, eating right etc... has made my wife EVEN more successful. She has the energy, her mind is sharp and I believe it's because her 'engine' is running tip top. It's like having an old beat up car vs a new super engine cooled kick butt car - which one is going to go further and more efficiently? :)
That's not to toot my own horn, but to say, it is possible. It has to be a lifestyle change.
And hey, it's 2011 - time to make that change :)

look. I'm not trying to make excuses. I'm not THAT out of shape. I do bikram yoga 4 times per week and walk a lot. I just can't be as extensive about it as I was in my youthful years. I'm very healthy but I do need to drop 20ish lbs. per doctors orders. I've completely cut out any sugar drinks other than water and a few organic smoothies and an occaional glass of wine here and there. But at my age and with my busy schedule it's just not as easy as it was when I was 25. Not an excuse, just a simple fact.

all of this is very positive to a recent switcher like myself.

i am a mid level user. really i am a consumer user who has put in the time and effort to learn some of the more powerful features.
i hope that apple will begin to verify some of this info so i can confirm whether i wanna jump on the iWork7 bandwagon right away. :)

I have a rare disease that tells my brain that I must have the latest and greatest... It nags at me until I obtain the newest update. I've seen doctors all over the world but none have been able to cure me :p

VZ iPhone 4: Battery usage seemed higher after the update (10% overnight with no usage). I did a restore and it seems back to normal (1-2% overnight).

I understand what you are saying but are you really going to call "Vi" a pro app for word processing and say that it fully replaces Word. You can use any app as a tool to create a professional product.
If Vi is being used by a professional to produce a professional product, then, yes, I'd call it a professional application. As far as being able to completely replace Word, well if the professional in question was able to stop using Word, then apparently it was able to completely replace Word for that professional.

Specialized databases that are designed for a specific industry wouldn't meet your definition. I would bet you that not .1% of printshops, publishers, lawyers, engineers, etc. even know what a .pages file is let alone are they working with it daily.

The 8800GS was actually the 8800M GTS, the second-highest model GPU in nVidia's mobile lineup at the time. The HD5750M in the previous iMac was actually a HD5850M or the second-highest model GPU in ATI's mobile lineup at that time. So Apple hasn't been skimping up to now on top-end options. Admittedly, the HD6970M is notable because it's actually the top-end mobile GPU, so we have climbed up a rung in the ladder.
The issue I think most users have is not the actual chipset which Apple does pick well the complement a fast Intel CPU is how much RAM they put with it.
Really 512MB is pretty weak IMHO... 1GB should be standard across all models, while 2GB on 27" in a nice addition.

So it finally stopped snowing this morning, skies overcast. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I got out and headed just a little north of town to a closed ended valley - elevation 6300 feet. There are a bunch of old abandoned farm houses scattered about. Here's one of them.

Apple not releasing a new IPHONE in June would really pull the stock into the garbage. It would be hard to make up that lost revenue for the quarter.
You assume that there would be lost revenue. Or rather lost stock value. A lot of that issue could depend on what is announced for iOS, Mac OS, the whole Final Cut game etc. Not to mention ipad sales for the quarter and if they release any new computers, those sales numbers. The buzz from all that could be enough to carry the stock value.
And who knows they could announced in late june but with a 60ish day to launch. And if the phone was 'magical' enough no one would really take issue with the wait.

Seriously though, the tech is cool, but it's one more thing to drain on the battery. I'm looking forward to the days when all iPods will be flash memory--sleeker, better battery life, and faster. I'm not too interested in the magnificent disappearing scrollwheel.
