Two Questions...
1) If Merom MacBook Pros ship on the 12th, and I order mine that day, around how long would it take for me to get?
2) I hear there is going to be TONS of problems seeing as how it's going to be the first of Rev B. Models. Any truth to that?

And a large portion of that 99% of the market will find integrated graphics fine, until they venture to the Apple App Store, and find that their spanking new MBA have a video card not supported by 99% of the games on sale... In fact, integrated graphics are not only not supported, but are specifically singled out in most game's system requirements.
I don't question the gaming issue, I just wonder what percentage of MBP buyers would not buy because of the Intel graphics. My uneducated guess would be a very small percentage. Remember, Apple caters to the average consumer, not the geeks.

There is an upside to being exempt. While it's true I don't get paid extra if I work 45 hours this week, I will also not be paid less if I work 35 hours next week. In my job one is just as likely as the other.

you guys do realize gas is like 9 dollars a gallon in europe right?
Well with a minimum wage of 19 bucks I imagine it is not as much of any issue as it is in America. Plus European countries aren't nearly the size of the United States, so driving is done less.(also likely one of the reasons for less drinking and driving accidents and deaths...along with being introduced to drinking at a younger age in most countries there)

This is most unfortunate. Now that TB is a reality, it would be far better if Intel just kills USB 3.0 completely as fast as possible. There is absolutely no advantage whatsoever in having USB survive past 2.0 at this point.
Sure there is. Higher speeds and backwards compatibility with older ports.
With 3.0 barely entering the market, there is no value in letting it get a foothold.
It's barely entered the market - on the mac. I'm rocking 6 usb 3 ports over here.

It is pathetically obsolete compared to TB.
Compared to devices which nobody has which are not compatible with anything else? Compared to a next gen connector that is on one line of apple only products?
Thunderbolt is sweet, but nobody is using it yet and it is a unique connector. I smell another expensive adapter market coming...
What is with the comments about wanting USB 3.0 on Macs? What a huge waste of time and money
It's not expensive and whose time is it wasting? I mean other than people foaming at the mouth on forums.

Curious that everyone is clamoring for a thunderbolt-enabled machine, but there isn't a single thunderbolt drive available on the market.
I guess some people just need to feel like they have new stuff even if it's totally pointless.
Thunderbolt drives will be out this summer.

Am I the only person laughing at this? If you didn't know your phone was already tracking you, then you should read up. All phones do it and it is not limited to the iPhone. Most common reason it would be done is for emergency needs. Just go to another cell tower and watch it track you. Next story please.

Assuming they release it tomorrow, would it be available at the apple store right away(not the online store)?
Unlikely. It almost always takes time for these to show up at the retail location.

How does streaming music to my iPhone help me, when O2 cap my Internet usage, and then charge when you use more.
this service is for apple fans who will swallow anything apple sells and ask for more, even as they pay extra data charges to listen to music they already own.

I too am exempt. We don't clock in, but do put down hours worked on our contracts (because that is what the customer wants). Functionally I am an hourly employee, because if I do not work a full 40 hours I don't get 40 hours worth of pay.
From that description, you don't sound like an exempt employee to me. I'm not a labor lawyer, but if I was in your shoes I think I'd be reading up on the subject. There are rules that employers are supposed to follow.
What I don't get is if I did 40 hours worth of work, but in 35 hours I still would only get paid for 35 hours. I thought being on salary would remove that.
Heh, if you can do it in 35 hours then it is not 40 hours worth of work, is it? :)

there are a number of phones out in Europe already that have 3MP cameras, Nokia N73 and the sony ericsson w800i to name a few.
Well the w800i has a 2MP Camera, the K800 does have a 3MP camera though. All the same - lot's of half decent camera phones over here! :D

I am constantly amazed at the number of people who buy into this crap!
Here, I'll try to spell it out for you:
Apple has no antivirus for IOS because it would be completely useless. In order for a virus to get through to an IOS device it has to get past Apple's reviewers. That's the only way to install software of any kind on IOS, including malware.
Safari!

I'd love to have a trackpad but I do really like the Magic Mouse. It's not super ergonomic, of course, but I like it more than most other traditional mice.
I know a lot of people that like them. That's cool. But it's not ergonomic at all. Not even a little. The only Apple mouse I ever liked (loved actually) was the ADB II. In my opinion, it's the last and only good mouse Apple ever made.

Windows phone may (and I'm being generous) top iPhone only due to the foundation that Nokia laid for them. I don't know about the quality of the Nokia hardware overseas, but it must be decent for Symbian to hold a nice chunk of market share for so long.
Windows and Nokia better put their heads together to come up with some software though. Last I read about Windows Phone 7 was that they didn't include copy and paste, essentially trying to mimic iPhone features.
