FW 800, 2gig of ram im soo pyched, and I was just about to pick one up this weekend, but my i couldnt do an instore pickup at the apple store. Im glad i waited.

cloud based this and cloud based that, what about the traffic that comes with that? , i pay a lot for mobile internet and i`m not willing to pay a **** load more just so i can use my ipod, why wold i pay my cell phone network every time i want to listen to a song i already pay`d for.
As far as i`m concern cloud based stuff shod be introduced when cell phone network providers are willing to give unlimited traffic plans at a decent cost, until that time it`s pure nonsense.

I'm glad to see all the new contributors. Don't worry if you don't think they're good enough. I haven't seen anyone's pictures that don't belong here. If there is criticism it is meant to be helpful and not insulting.

This is scary. While I have no doubts Apple's ability to "get it" will make Microsoft's offering pale by comparison, Microsoft might be able to more than make up for it through marketing and their dominant position in the computer and home gaming market. Then, as in the past, their monopolistic practices will slowly edge out Apple.
And I guarantee you that Microsoft will be much more willing to "play ball" with the movie studios to get the best/preferred deals in offering downloadable movies.

This would be excellent; an iPhone that roam onto any network of the 16 frequency band groups.
Maybe even add RUIM functionality to the iPhone, so we can roam onto CDMA!

At&t bumped my upgrade eligibility from 11/30/2011 to 6/30/2011.
I do a lot of business and have several activated lines with AT&T and Verizon. I purchase several new phones annually from each of them. I'm a true smartphone addict. :eek:
AT&T has revamped the way they calculate upgrade eligibility and time lines. They used to simply count the months you've been in contract and assign you a fixed date.
Recently all that has changed. Now they take into consideration how much you spend with them, how many lines you have, what your data plan and text msg plans are etc. They monitor this on an ongoing basis. As a result your upgrade date on your account is dynamic and will change periodically.
It may change frequently or just once or twice during your contract period. In my case what I like is I get upgrade pricing just about anytime I wish based on the fact I spend quite a bit to have several concurrently activated phones.
Your mileage may vary :)

Surprising how heated the debate on this can get - I think it's a great story.
Boy makes mistake (as does mother, in not supervising him closely enough). The mother asks for help from Apple, and Apple complies even though they don't have to. The boy, and his mother are very unlikely to make the same mistake again - and the same holds for any parent reading this story! :p

These guys throw out hundreds of the wild-ass predictions each year and just through sheer probability, someone is right. But they always pat each other on the back in each other's blogs with stuff like "Wow, White really nailed that one didn't he".

Okay first off I like the framing in this. That little building doesn't feel cut off really, with that dominating focal point above it. I seriously love the placement of it, and how the picture just spans to the left. The lighting is superb. I love it, is really all I can say. You can see the golden highlights on the trees and the glow everywhere on the foliage. The saturated colors are lifelike and real to the photograph. You also positioned the focal point well. It's slightly under the curve of the hillside. This lets you take in the object with color popping it out all around.
This photo is better than I can do outside with nature. I really love this. That golden hour you shot at shows well. That is quite the capable lens! Loving this pic.

i am a 4G contractor right now here in T-mobile and i'll tell you HSPA+ is not as fast as verizon LTE but hey, there is no cap! right now im testing HSPA+ and im getting 4mbps on mytouch.
i hope this merging will not push thru.. or else, at&t will only butcher t-mobile good network..

They undoubtedly exist, as they're based on biochemical pathways. You can't necessarily change that, at least easily. I don't think that's the point hes trying to make, however, as he does have a point in the willpower effect-- it's basically the same as the placebo effect; your belief in something can have a positive chemical effect upon your bodies pathways. In the case of drug users, this can be seen in the "bottoming out" effect-- the addiction pathway doesn't suddenly flip, in fact in almost all cases it always remains permanently on, rather it's the person and their willpower who decides that they've had enough.
The human mind is an amazing thing, especially in its ability to either alter or deal with modified pathways caused by external stress factors.

To say AA or 12 step programs are a "joke" doesn't leave much room for interpretation and is quite different than what you have stated. I have a first gen iPad running 4.3.1, but although iTunes says a newer version is available, after it downloads it, extracts it, verifies my device and backs it up, it then says "this device isn't eligible for the requested build".
Does that mean the first gen iPad is now officially "legacy" and maxes out at 4.3.1? Or should I try a total restore/reset and update?

Anyone who's had to phone any call-center in the last 10 years would surely know that if there's no chance of a sale being closed, CS reps will say whatever is needed to get you off their line.

I doubt theres anyone waiting specifically for this phone, but there are still people who are coming off contract and this is a fresh option vs the black model.
+1. Apple knows that people coming off contracts in the spring/summer are used to having a new iPhone to upgrade to. If there were nothing "fresh" they may go elsewhere. So the white iPhone is being offered as something shiny and new to lure in those summer upgraders while Apple readies the iPhone 5 for Fall 2011.
I bet they've had this plan for a while. Does anyone think it really took them this long to get the white iPhone fixed?
My prediction: white iPhone very soon, possibly with a slight spec bump (64gb option?) Then nothing until September when the next iPhone is announced (my guess is it will be the "iPhone 4G"). It probably won't actually ship until October, which means you probably won't be able to get your hands on one until November, especially outside the US. Long story short, it's not worth waiting if you need/want to upgrade your phone now. iPhone 4 is gonna be around for a while, and my guess is that Apple planned that all along.
