I like the app. Is it $1 to press the button how ever often you like from then on out? Or $1 per push? Seriously, if it's the former, it's less than the cost of a pack of gum and could possibly give you money back. No big deal, at least it's a novelty app that could have a redeeming value.

They should also bring back the porn, in fact, create an adult section on the app store. It'd be interesting to see how the porn industry could utilize the mobile app market.

I've never heard of lower resolution causing eye strain. If anything, maybe the resolution is still too high? I prefer the higher resolution of the MacBook Air myself (smaller pictures and text, more content in the same 13" screen), but I have no vision problems. Before you spend money on a different computer, I would consult your eye doctor for suggestions on how to make computer use easier on your eyes, or try these tips from the Mayo Clinic (see the second section, titled Tips for computer work):

    http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/eyestrain/DS01084/DSECTION=lifestyle%2Dand%2Dhome%2Dremedies

There are plenty of other tips out there, just do a web search for "reducing computer eye strain".

    Hey everyone,

Can someone with more security expierance tell me more about the (What appears to be a Trojan) virus running thru Facebook? I see several users that have a status update called "Dad walks in on daughter" that takes you to a page prompting you to solve a mathmatecial equasion for legitimecy purposes then spreads itself to your wall.

Anyone know any more? How could this comprmise our phone's data or compromise end user data?

    Thanks,

    MacMan74

Steve Jobs isn't allowed to wear brown. -_- I was disappointed.

First he wears brown and then there is no One More thing.

Next thing you know he owns a Zune, and a brown one at that

So, I am just posting to make sure I am doing it right. From all my reading this is what I have come up with.

I know I am probably missing other threads with this info, so if you have a link that would be fine too!

I am planning on upgrading my 2010 Mini's HDD to a faster drive. Now, I am thinking instead of re-installing everything and setting it all back up that I will use Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC) to clone the old drive the new one. Then pull the old drive and install the new one.

    A couple of questions...

    1. Is there a problem cloning the disk if is is coming from a 320gb to a 500gb drive? (IE...driver errors or such...)

    2. The cloned disk be bootable...right?

    3. Will I have any issues with the serials for CS5 and FCP....etc...?

    Thanks!

    ~Andrew

There are issues in all product lines. I got a screen with a little uneven backlight, but apple handled it perfectly. They even sent me a new one before demanding the first one back (now I have two in my room). Don't worry about things before you have to, cause chances are you'll probably be fine. :) At least eventually!

Been working with it for a few days and and I'm 50 % impressed - l lost the WiFi signal once in a presentation and had to move to the MBA to continue. Also it takes a swipe of your finger across the face of the phone which is not comfortable to do with one hand, although I got pretty good using my thumb. As opposed tot the 2 screens remote app that will advance slide with a shake, KR is pretty basic in its approach. Looking forward to a new revision that would give me a button and iPad interface.

Here is how to get it working without Java crap.

    http://michelf.com/projects/multi-safari/

    Just run Safari 4.05 :)

    Works like it did b4.

Not sure about remote access to a lion host as I have not tested that.

awesome! been using that stupid java crap where my mouse is like 2 inches off.

and fyi accessing logmein on a lion host works but you need to make sure you have the host set to only go to screen saver and not sleep or sleep display. since lion now requires a physical mouse click to work logmein doesn't allow for waking the screen up and you can therefore not do anything. if it is just using a screen saver it works perfectly.

None of my friends want an Xbox, they all sold theirs, just don't play games anymore or never liked the xbox library. Mine will be going next to my Amiga, NES, classic GB series and Mega Drive in an air tight box for future play. I loved playing with my dads toys when I was a kid so it's probably only right that I do the same for my future kids!

Probably best keeping it till they get 100% b/c on the 360.

Bit funny really, the DC is the only last gen system I still play! And that did crap in the market!

the Dreamcast did better that most people think. it outsold the PS2 at launch and it was starting to outsell the PS2 when they pulled the plug (not total units sold) but it Sega would have not pulled the plug it would have started to gain on them. what killed the Dreamcast was the over hype of the PS2 and its ability to play dvd's , and the Dreamcast lack of good 3rd party developers and sega was hurting for money thanks to the failure of the SEGA cd, 32-X, and saturn, and could not keep up with the Dreamcast.

Well it does come at a price. Apple is not really selling $500 laptops like HP or Dell.

To HP and Dell's credit, their business customer support is not bad or their premium customer support is based in US ($99 additional). At the end of the day you cannot build laptops at the margins they have and pay US pay scales for support.

I definitely had great customer support experience with apple customer support for my apple devices.

    Sorry about forgetting the speed:

It is 1.5GHz, and has 64 VRAM.

Still has original box and all the CDs (Panther).

Why are there so many drunk people in the Mac Pro forums?!!

You can't possibly tell me that you consume your daily dose of MacRumors without being completely hammered...

    That'd be just insane!

The App Store is still giving me the "All Apps are up to date" message.
    What's up with that...?

Do you have the 4.3GB XCodeInstaller.app in your /Applications directory? If not, try putting it there. If you've deleted it - try (re)moving your /developers directory.

its a common problem deal with it

Oh, I'm so sorry to bother you with my silly little Wii problems. I suppose I should be just fine with controllers that don't always control. While I'm at it, I should be just like you and accept that my mouse doesn't always click, my keyboard doesn't always type, and my TV remote doesn't always change channels.

Even though the product numbers are different I can't tell the difference between these:

    http://www.kensington.com/html/4769.html

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1091099113100&skuId=6795015&productCategoryId=pcmcat23200050023&type=product

As you can see one is $30 more than the other, hmm.Looks like Best Buy is trying to dump them... may be a discontinued item for them.
