No one.. and stangely it's now ON by DEFAULT in all the MacTels I've received lately. No idea why.
I do, and so does anyone who has a classic environment of System 7 and earlier for classic compatibility reasons.
Granted you can use TCP/IP on some of these, however the reliability of such extensions on early versions of Classic leaves much to be desired. I however turn off Appletalk when I am away from my home network.

I hope this is true. A lot of people would go to T-Mobile because of their competitive pricing and that would encourage AT&T and Verizon to lower their prices too. Hell, I would consider switching.
nah Verizon and AT&T would furlough a couple of goons to go and see that Tmobile prices were brought up to their level...there is NO WAY TMobile will be allowed to undersale Verizon and AT&T...NO WAY...Tmobile, Sprint and whoever else you wanna name only has lower rates now because they are starved for new customers, losing old customers to Verizon and AT&T and they DON'T have an iPhone...

The connectors were the same on the old 27" and 21.5", but only the larger display functioned as an external display.

Finally Apple are back from those awful tanking sales G4 years, though will they ever break through that 5% glass ceiling?
I think so -- and soon. Look at the sales of the MacBooks, and they came very late in the quarter! So now we have a full quarter of MacBook sales, PLUS Mac Pros. Not to mention possible iMac and MacBook Pro updates to Core 2 Duo this quarter.
I say we will hit 5% next quarter. Apple is well on its way to being in the Top 3 as far as US marketshare! :)

I agree with you. The first thing I thought of was the battery. Unless Apple has made miraculous strides with reeeeeaaaaallly thin batteries, this design would mean about 45 minutes of juice.

I agree - I'm not a huge fan of the pie that's used in iWeb. Definitely prefer the blue filling up the URL bar...:(

The iPhone 4 will still be the best smartphone on the market when the iPhone 5 comes out.
Holding it back makes a lot of sense at this point.

Anyway, regards to the topic. The September event seems plausible, and i know many people speculated it to be the case before as well. Makes sense because they can't really upgrade the iPod line that dramatically anymore. Thus they can introduce the new iPhone 5 and iPod Touch together, without people already knowing what the iPod Touch will encompass.
Only question is, can Apple keep the demand in Fall? with iPod line, iPhone and Mac upgrades?
On a side note people, don't put the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 under the same rumor umbrella. Clearly because, the iPhone 5 will come out this year, and the iPad 3 won't.

I saw and got my hands on a possible prototype IMac that had a touchable screen and a smug free screen. It also had the earlier uncoded virtual keyboard in the Lion OS. though it was only a prototype but a very realistic one for production. I believe it to be the IMac I and my father both got our hands on earlier this year.:apple:

Not that it is the most clunky thing MS as spawned, but elegant-it ain't. I can imagine that whatever craptacular iteration of a music player Gates can come up with will be trounced nicely by the much more desirable next gen iPod. It must be tough to be so egotistical insofar as their products are concerned and yet untalented in making them. I hope they never get rid of Balmer and his ilk-they keep MS user unfriendly and thats the way I like it.

My opinion of brushed metal is that it's a very good theme and has big a cool factor, but the clean lines and clarity of the new theme has already won me over. It's not perfect, there are things I'd change, but I think it's a nice step up.
In fact, it reminds me of a super evolved version of OS 9's platinum look, which I really liked.
For those too young in Mac world to remember OS 9's platinum theme, you can see some here in the paragraph titled "Platinum vs. Aqua Interface Pictures" but bear in mind that this interface is VERY old at this point, so you to have think of it in context and not compare it to an interface from 2006.

I can confirm this. I have had the Mulititasking Gestures on my iPad(1) and I'm running 4.3.

The iPhone 4 will be a year and a few months old by September. I guess Apple can afford to wait simply because the iPhone brand has a good deal of market power, but it's still strange because their competition will be head over heels ahead of them. I hope iOS 5 is out before fall.

Although Apple is behind Gateway in market share, Apple's earnings (not revenue, earnings) last quarter (not year, quarter) is pretty close to Gateway's market capitalization!
