2. I have my 2010 MBP and I just traded a crappy acoustic guitar that I have played twice for an iMac g3. It came with everything just like the day he bought it down to the Styrofoam.

wasn't entirely sure where to put this, so apologies.
i recently bought a blackberry curve 8520, and it has never shown up on my mac, this hasn't really been a problem as i just charge it via the mac, but now i want to add some music, and bluetooth, nor physically connecting the blackberry works.
bluetooth returns errors, and it plain wont show up on my mac, even in disk utility.
i have the blackberry auto - mass storage drive as 'yes'
any help would be appreciated.
Alex

It's kinda brilliant from a dev stand point.
Your app costs $0.99
You give away $1000 a month to one user who is pushing a button.
If Your app causes a million people to download this and give it a try, you make $700,000 from app sales, and only have to give away $1000 a month.
Heck, they could give away $20,000 a month and would still make a killing, and would make the app that much more popular.
I don't see much wrong with that.

They're replacing the whole A-Trim on both sides and will come out to fit it at the weekend.
Which is slightly better than being slapped in the face with a wet fish but not much if you need the car (tomorrow). Can you harass them for a courtesy car?

If the moderators have done a good job at fulfilling requests in the past, they will probably continue to do so. It may just be that they are swamped with work, on vacation, or any other number of things.

Despite posting impressive sales of the iPad last quarter, Apple saw its tablet market share drop from 95 percent to 77 percent as shipments of Google Android-based tablets chipped away at the company's tablet dominance, a new report says.
http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/11/01/31/apples_share_of_tablet_market_slides_to_77_android_rises_to_22.html
( Bit of a dramatic title by Apple Insider, 2.1 million Android tablets were sold to bring down the iPad marketshare to 77% )
Not at all surprising. Eventually, the open platform will always win over the platform that only one player uses. The iOS platform will become a niche platform just as Mac OS (X) still is one today.
If you want to own a market, you have to open your platform to other players, just like Google and Microsoft license their software to whoever wants to make hardware and software for them. Divide et impera - divide and rule. Apple never understood this simple concept.

You will want to look into something like a Switcheasy Thumbtack or Blue Mic Mikey for iPod.

A vector file is a vector, is a vector. They are resolution independent UNLESS they have an embedded bitmap. But, if you did a live trace and then deleted the source file, then the resulting (live traced) vector is resolution independent. Meaning, that you can scale it up from postal stamp to billboard size without loss in original quality. However, it might look different when scaled depending on how well you did the original trace.
The client calling to say that you need to supply a file with a different resolution make zero sense, because a vector has nothing to do with resolution. They don't know what they are talking about so you should get clarification before going further.

After jailbreaking my 4.1 iphone 3g recently, there have been some issues with the battery.
My suspicion is that the battery is fine. It's that the icon and percentage aren't updating.
For example, I charge my phone and the icon and percentage do not change even though it should be fully charged by that point. So I restart my phone and the battery percentage and icon are now updated to reflect what it really is. And the battery drains as normal - nothing unusual there. It's only when I charge my phone that the battery status does not seem to go back up to reflect reality.
Help please!

So disappointing. First Paul Miller and now Josh and Nilay. As a fan of Apple it was nice to have a guy who unabashedly appreciated their products and wasn't afraid to rate them above other competitors. (Despite the raging lunacy in the comments against anything Apple)
So Gizmodo blows and now Engadget is being 'AOLized' with the talent jumping ship. I will always have this site for Apple-related news but man what is out there for general tech news that is fun AND full of decent journalism?

Oh, just in a closet on back of a shelf. Its always funny to find stuff. Closets are fun sometimes. :)
Yeah, I've found a lot of things tucked away in them.

Funny in the beginning but it got old. With advertising you don't want to keep replaying the same old same old. People start tuning out.
They were good, but it was time to discontinue them.
